I do like the concept and the blue is gorgeous.
The buildings were not at right angles to each other, and the more modern building had a slightly curved front. I don't think there is a way to get them onto the same 90 degree grid! I did try! I think there is a way to do the crop suggested by others that does improve the image. I have to look again next time I am at that location and see if there is any different place I could stand that would help. Thanks for commenting!

Sometimes when old and new meet, it doesn't always please the eye as far as angles go. But your picture is well done even the way you have it here! It gives history and color. :)

Week 18--Waiting for breakfast
We are back from a month in Wyoming so I need to catch up with photos from the appropriate weeks of that trip. Weather went from shorts to snow. We went from Yellowstone to Red Desert and Flaming Gorge. A beautiful state that I had not traveled in significantly before.

The fork shadow is at such a different angle to the actual fork it makes you really stop and take notice of such a simple scene.

Week 19--two abstracts from Yellowstone
Still catching up. In week 19 we were in Yellowstone National Park and I got enamored with the endless abstracts around me. The scenics were great, too, but I have chosen two abstracts to represent this week.

I like both. Excellent compositions and color.
I could see these in a doctor's office on the wall for patients to contemplate while waiting for diagnosis, etc. Or maybe the dentist office so the patient could keep his/her mind off what was going on! These two pics could be tiny sections of a very large landscape shots or they could be scenes taken from a long way off.
Yep! They are keepers in my estimation! :)

Week 20--Patrick Draw Road
During week 20 we were traveling in south central Wyoming. The opportunity for good scenics is incredible. I have chosen this one to represent that week. Patrick Draw Road goes through BLM lands filled with oil and gas fields. It is 50+ miles of dirt road, at times a little exciting driving!

Wyoming is probably my all time favorite state to see. It has been quite awhile since I've been there. This picture brings back a lot of memories. And if I do remember correctly, when it snows that type of road becomes a mire of sand type slush and only a 4 wheel drive vehicle can have any hope of going through it.
I love the color and starkness of this landscape pic! Thank you for posting it!
