I love images like this of trees in relatively barren landscapes. Hopefully can seek things like this out when I arrive in the high Sierra a couple of weeks from now.

    Hi Jim,

I'm not familiar with RAWTherapee, but does it have a means to correct lateral CA (Chromatic Aberration)?

I ask because for me, shot #4 and #1 are really spoiled by it - there is some evidence of Lat. CA in the other three shots too, if I look for it - just that it isn't so bad in those due to a variety of factors.

Take #4; view it at 100% and, ignoring the center of the image (where lateral CA will likely be minimal); do you see all those red and green edges on opposite sides of the rocks, especially towards the edges and corners of frame? That's the problem I am talking about.

It is usually a simple one-click solution in LightRoom or ACR, but I can't advise on RAWTherapee I'm afraid.

Just seems a shame to have the shots blighted by a problem that's so easily fixed in PP, having done such a good job with composition, exposure, WB, etc.

    Hope that's helpful, Dave

Thank you Dave. Yes, Rawtherapee has those functions. The question is, did I use them effectively. I reposted #1 and #5 and ask if I was effective.

Oh yeah, I also added just a touch of noise reduction.

    Hi Nandakumar,
The easiest way I can show you where it is, is to link to my planning map that I have altered to show shot positions and direction of view.

Those "people" are actually full sized trees.
