    Re: new images

    Hi Troy,

Good exposures, but the distortion really bugs me on 1, 2 and even 4.

#1 I think I'd have tried sticking that bright light behid the bear's bum (by taking a step to the right) so we could see more of the bear.

Is it not worth a try in CS4 with a distortion/correction after stitching?
I think I've 'been here before', so maybe this is the look you want, in which case, ignore me.

#5 has the classic "walking out of frame" issue (twice), but it's not bad given the lighting, maybe a bit less saturation?

    Cheers,

    Re: new images

Actually, 4 was a single exposure from my kit lens at 18mm. It has some perspective distortion from the camera being aimed upward, but I like it, and at 18mm it's not too severe.

In retrospect, your are correct about the light behind the bear. It's kind of annoying

Yes, there's some slight distortion in my panoramas that should theoretically be nonexistent due to the algorithm maintaining straight edges (assuming the lens is perfectly rectilinear). I see the distortion in 1 but I originally didn't mind it so I just didn't do anything (criticism noted). I already tried correcting distortion in 2 (successfully, I believe; the ground and staircase and everything else is just naturally curvy and old).

For image 5 I had been waiting for those walking to leave the frame, but I began to feel self conscious crouched down in the middle of traffic with a camera to my eye I guess I jumped the gun and ran away.

    Thanks!
