The approach of spring must be nice for you along with the bright signs. Down under we have recently had the first bit of cold forteling that winter is on its way though probably nothing like you experience though these things are relative

The daffodils are lovely but unfortunately as a photo the yellow has over exposed and reduced the clarity of that part of the image so the first thing I did was to select with Magic Wand the bright yellow areas and reduced the brightness in just those areas and then used the sharpening tool which helped. Finally I used the 'fill flash' tool on the whole image after de-selecting the yellow areas and came up with this after adding a small off-white border .....

Hi Chuck. I love the image, lovely colors and light. Did you use a flash to kill the BG?

Striking, well done. On my screen, only the daffodils are rendered full-sized, and though I like them - especially the "disappeared" background - the backlighting in the forsythia in the thumbnail does a better job of making spring yellows dedicate and light rather than more opaque and heavy looking as in the daffodils.

Thank You all, and +1 to John with those tips, I was wondering instead of the wand tool to the yellow would it have been basically the same to go into selective color, select yellow and darken from there. 'Cause that is what I done on these next two, to mimic your suggestion. (I am not familiar with the Flash Fill tool though, I am a digital painter and find most tools work in one as in the other, but never ran across that before, so a little more push on that subject would be nice).

Binnur- Yes I used a flash in both images, I almost didn't post the Forsythia "I held that for a full second with the shutter open". and the 'tiny pic thing' was just repeating the Daffodils... I have another shot with the forsythia a second later were I killed the Background with a 1/250 Shutter, and it gave that same boldness as the Daffodils but felt the Bocah made it busy and not quite as appealing. I was pleased with the Daffodils in the ambient Kill, they had that nice edge into the nothingness.

Here is a Kill on the Forsythia and Ambiant remaining on some daffodils, I thought it would be a nice add, to contrast to the first two
