    Hello, mate!

You can be proud of your father's work! It appears he is having nice results. My choice is #2, for the colours. If possible, I would reshoot it, framing only the foreground rice branch and avoiding the one in the back. Anyway, it is a very nice image in my opinion. The bokeh is nice and works well here.

Well done (you and your father ).

    Cheers,

Each image has something really strong to like. My personal favorite is #5 because its simplicity works so well and in my mind has no weakness.

It's clear that you have given so much thought to all of themm so I'll go into a couple details on the others:

#1: Great composition except for the out-of-focus leaf in the middle. Get rid of that and the image improves 100%.
#2: I love the symmetry of the two stalks (that may not be the proper term). I wish all of the rice buds (also perhaps not the proper term) in the upper stalk were in focus.
#3: The out-of-focus leaves in the background are glorious. The focused leaf in the foreground competes with the rice making me wonder which is the subject.
#4: Wonderful color and composition. I wish also in this one that all of the rice buds were in focus.
#6: Great framing of the subject. The busy background and the small leaf sticking up from the bottom of the frame in the middle make this image my least favorite of the bunch.

All very nice, Vaez...the article you read telling you that you need a specialized tool to be able to achieve bokeh is quite deceiving...You've done perfectly what you want to achieve here, specially in #2 and #5, in all of them really but #2 and #5 are ispecial because of the colour melding and matching one another. By the look of your shots here, It looks like that your dad did a very good job taking care of your crops this year...I hope you have got a good harvest for many more years to come...

hello mike thank you for your detailed explaintions mauration.
very nu=ice that you have referred to any number of weaknesses positive . i wanted a shot bokeh i thought that if any part of the photo as the background is out of focus then added with special software bokeh circles

Hi Vaez, for me, #3 embodies what I would think that rice would look like. It is captivating in its simplicity. I have seen pictures of rice patties but never the individual stalks. Thank you so much for posting this interesting and informative set of images.

Someone once told me that rice is the perfect food when you are craving about 2,000 of something to eat!
