Your image is very contrasty and despite the title of Shadows, the dark areas do not enhance this image for my particular tastes. There are some interesting flowers and objects down in the center of the plant, and yet because that region is so dark, the viewers can not enjoy what is there. The very bright spot on the leaf running up to the upper right corner is either the first or second thing the eye looks at. If you have a chance, you might want to try using a flash and taking the same photo.

It is full of contrast. I stay away from flash simply because of personal taste. It is a strong picture and personal taste comes into it a lot. But thanks for the input.
