It looks great. Cliches are cliches for a reason. One thing I don't get... the light path on the water and the illumination of the swans seem discordant. The golden reflections are wonderful though.

Mark, you pose an interesting question...I shot 95 images in about a ten minute period at about 7:30 PM on May 27th in SE Michigan, at about 3-4 degrees east of due north. Every one of then show the western side of the birds illuminated, and...with all of them showing that same reflection in the water.
The only explanation that I can offer is the "possibility" of a reflection from a window of one of the surrounding homes...???

Makes sense, a window. I wonder if you could fade down the upper half of the light path to the birds? The stuff above that is near them up to just above their heads, is enhancing, and wouldn't be that confusing absent the path above.
