The clock looks quite good Andre....but the background??
Philip
Lovely conversion to B&W but, I tend to agree with Phillip about the BG....
Ok, thanks guys, I will reshoot.![]()

Thanks guys,
Now I will sleep better tonight.![]()
The reshoot is a great improvement over the first shot, Andre. When I saw the first one, my eyes were immediately drawn to the clutteres background. The reworked version is great. Did you darken the BG in post?
That's fine now, Andre - sleep well!
Goodnight from Philip
Andre;
I agree with others that the first shot had a cluttered background which you definitely resolved in the second shot. However, I like the environmental nature of the first and find that the angle of the clock in that shot was more dynamic. IMHO the second shot looks more like a product shot.
So, my challenge to you would be to create a 'still life' setting for the clock so that the image focuses on the clock but tells a story.
Murat, I shot in full manual mode with Pre Set WB under available light in my (no my wife's) dining room, lying flat on the carpet with camera on a "beanbag". Two pieces of black paper for the setup and the light came from a chandelier with 6 of those power saving bulbs, giving very soft light.
I tried fluorescent, incandescent, auto WB (fine tuned) but only Pre Set got me what I wanted. The Pre Set was done on a white painters canvas.
If you look at the Ibanez thread that I have posted, it was done a few minutes later with the same camera settings under the same lighting.
I'm going to agree with Shane on this one Andre not that I can suggest a background at present that would complement the clock.
It may be worth getting the tool kit out and adjusting the clock face which seems slightly rotated
