Sometimes including a feeding bowl will ruin shots like these; but it this case it does work OK.

1 & 2 hit the nail on the head for me Izzie. 3 is just not sharp enough and the motion blur takes away slightly from the 4th. Keep at it. You're achieving more than I am at the moment.

I think you nailed the focus in the first two, Izzie. But, given your captions, I wonder if the blur in the last one has actually captured the character of this bird? It seems to be going off its 'nana.

Thanks John...I like the pun when I am doing something not so serious. I am getting sick of the same birds again and again so I think I will change venue next week. This week I am still waiting for that Jay to come back. Silly bugger flew away when I got my camera...I really really felt so stupid for not leaving it at the table near the deck door...

Thanks Irene -- 'saw another one today when I got lazy putting back my feeder down the hill. But too many just overwhelms me so much...it looks like they are the same bird each day that eats there. I think I will change their diet...and read up on how to attract birds to my garden -- in the feeder, not my plants.... My feeder area is still being planned by the way. I already have the right branch...'Will keep you posted.
