    Up close and personal with pythons

    A friend of mine has a snake and reptile breeding business and he asked me to take pictures of a handful of snakes for his website. Most of the photos I took were with the Canon 100mm macro lens and speed lite430 ex flash with the iso set to 400.

    Nice shots. I like the unique composition of the third one. Is the color accurate on the first one? Looks like there is a lot of red. Love the last one, curious how you achieved it, I'm thinking its two different snakes. Great subject matter, they're so interesting to look at up close.

    Thanks! I'll be taking some more pictures next weekend. The white balance on the first image is off but I have the raw file to make the corrections.

    I know nothing of snakes, so I dont know what breed of pythons they are but the last picture is 1 snake. It was bred to have a brown head and a white body.
