    Owl Butterfly (Caligo Eurilochus) Neotropical.

My wife found a butterfly house at Lancaster, so today was a special one for playing inside with temperature of 30c and very humid too; just right for me with a cold. * What a wonderful day as I watched more hatching in a cabinet, a place I WILL be revisiting *;D

What a neat pictures, the first picture has great detail. Right now we had winter so it is great to see a butterfly I can see why the butterfly is called an owl butterfly.

Thanks for dropping by and your comments, it is still winter here in the UK and that is why the butterfly house was so nice and warm, a real neat place to visit.

Nice work Andy. Great tones and nicley sharp. You do manage to ge the macro lens and subject focal plane nicely aligned to maximise the detail.

Thank you Peter, still a lot to learn for me, but I love the macro work; I started last July following some serious surgery and it has given me a real aim.

    Again, thanks for your comments.
