    Re: Whch is better?

    I like both!
I like #2's B/W more than the colors in #1 - the colors in #1 don't provide a lot of information, since a red flower on a yellow background is a very common thing to see, the only thing that matters is contrast in this case, and the brightness of the flower in #2 compared to the dark background is something that draws the attention. But #2's background seems a little 'cluttered' and #1 is easier to fix the background - you can clone out the visible part of the other flower in the top left corner
#2 has some nice textures that B/W further enhances but the light seems a little harsh (?), the lower part of the flower seems to be a little blown and lack detail, compared to #1. (B/W is more forgiving though )
#2 seems to also have a better composition - in #1 the flower is a little too much 'glued' to the right edge of the frame - if you moved the frame in #1 to the right to show more of the main subject and less of the other flower in the top left corner, that would be perfect

Well, a successful background and pleasant colors. But I see the second so, owing to color to the first. In BW version - the big white spot. It is necessary to get rid somehow of it, playing with shades, scales, contrasts and etc.
Would be to see well contours of petals (as in picture) if it possible
