This is a 2 year collection of my hummingbird shots. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as i enjoyed shooting them.

Can't wait for spring to start all over again.

A couple of questions for you. Are these photos taken in your yard? Do you sit quietly with a long lens and the camera on a tripod?

Thanks donald, i've seen lots of hummingbird shots from other photographers, and there is alway room for improvement. If you quit trying, you'll never get any better.

Thank you raylee. Yes, i took them in my yard. I sit patiently about 12 feet from a feeder . The birds are most active in the morning and evening. My setup is best in the morning because of the direction of light. I use a 300 f/4L lens + 1.4TC = 420mm and a monopod so i can react quickly.

Dear Steve,

Great series. Id be very happy to have those in my collection. You are so lucky to have them in your backyard. I like the setup. I still think your best shot is yet to come where all the elements will come together.
