This doesn't impact me but it might impact others...

I recently got a comment, on a YouTube video, by a gent named Kenneth Wu regarding RAW-JPEG. Keneth said, "As much as I love RAW, edited RAW JPEG exports are no longer accepted by Reuters."

This might be something that is important if you are going to shoot a newsworthy subject.

I have not investigated the validity of this comment.

I haven't seen the video so don't know the context. Not sure if Reuters only accepts jpeg images. What it likely mean is that if you shoot RAW you have to submit the un-edited RAW file. This is a pretty common requirement for many if not most "reputable" print media. Most periodicals that publish wildlife photography require the original RAW files. This is simply so they don't publish a photo with significantly altered content and have the original later show up somewhere. Obviously for news periodicals that would be pretty damaging to their reputation even though they would actually be innocent of the deception.

Luckily, most cameras can shoot RAW + JPEG.

That is how I would work around this requirement...
