    Cycleway Bridge

Another shot using the 10mm Samyang and a table top tripod at ground level. Taken in Copenhagen last September.

Great shot John, that bridge/walkway just throws ones eyes right into the image. Only issue I have are the clouds directly over the center building, in lightbox fully enlarged they appear a bit unnatural, swoopy-like, as though they were smudged. And some faint iridescence in them too, I don't know if it's me, my comp or the image. But still, a very good shot.

Yellow clouds? Somehow that part of the image isn't working for me, clouds really shouldn't have a yellow colour cast in that type of shot. I find that the same thing happens with snow in night shots (it looks like a giant dog had bladder control problems) and I will selectively de-colour that part of a shot.

Thanks all for your comments. Yep, 30 second exposure at I would guess around f11-f16 to ensure DOF (Manual lens so no exif) and ISO 200. Yellow clouds are as they were. Not unusual to see city lights reflected by the cloud base in a city. I guess it is something I'm used to seeing but as Manfred has suggested, I could de saturate them. (BTW, we used to have a pup who in moments of excitement would roll on its back and let fly. The clouds were never at risk but a few passing strangers became ever more cautious about tickling dogs tummies.) Version 2:

I definitely like this version better. I suspect the type of lights have a strong impact on the low clouds. We tend to get red to purple colors in night shots, especially in the winter where the snow acts as a giant reflector.

Great shot John - I agree, the clouds may not be as you saw them but the desaturated version is more pleasing to the eye. It's a very strong image, I keep looking at it!

Thanks Manfred, Simon and Binnur. Sorry for the late response but my optimism over my computer problems was not justified and I have had to rebuild the system for the second time. Fingers crossed.
