Helpful Posts: PS 2015...open ProPhoto image into PS>duplicate via image dropdown>flatten>apply HDR Toning.
New image is automatically converted from ProPhoto to sRGB color space.
Verified by Adobe customer service...answer by end of day...I want a kewpie doll at least.

It is not a bug - Adobe just assume an image with HDR toning is not worthy of ProPhoto colour space - a sentiment I often agree with...
