    Nice shot. With the warm weather recently, the few hoverflies around have been quite frisky.

    Thanks all for the comments. It would have been a sad year if some of these insects hadn't managed to show up. Your right John, I made the point in a previous post that the hoverflies haven't been exhibiting their normal behaviour. They are flying around like busy bees rather than lazily hovering around the flowers. Perhaps having showed up so late in the season, they need to make up for lost time.
