    Running Baboon

    This photo of a baboon running was taken in Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. These photos help understand how they can move rapidly. They cover a lot of ground with each stride.

    I love the second one very much ... and off he goes floating...Good catch there...pretty much like sport photography...why did they decide to run?

    I thought everyone wondered how baboons moved so quickly.:-) Izzie, I suspect that they were nervous about our arrival. I enjoyed trying to photograph them in motion.

    Interesting that the animals in fore and background are more or less in step with one another. IMO the second animal adds to the shot.

    The very few times I have ever seen them, they were moving very slowly or not at all. I didn't realize they can be fast.
