I can see why it's your favourite, a simple composition, great pastel colours, well done

Great shot. Good composition and you can almost feel the tranquility.

Nailed it. What more can I say? Nice and simple.

The only niggly point is that I might think about taking a bit off the top. There are two parts of the sky and I find trimming of the upper half where the clouds are thinner would strengthen the image even more.

Lovely image At first sight I thought the same thing as Manfred did because different colored top part of the sky bothered me too. But then I changed my mind because IMO your square frame is a good composition and if you crop it I don't think it will look as good as the original. But that lighter color still bothers me If you could bring the warmer colors of the lower part of the sky to the top with PP, I think it would be excellent

A beautiful image. It oozes with peace. This is a spot that I could sit at for hours.

I also like the less rectangular format given the crop we are discussing gives.

Aside from the fact that I really appreciate the humbling accolades, there is another quandary that
is brought to the surface with these accolades.

It's been nine years since my first digital camera and six years of taking this hobby seriously.
One might assume that, in that time period, I would have at least achieved the ability to recognize
    a "good/great/artsy picture.

In that respect, I am an abject failure...I cannot forecast how any of my images will be received.
The technical aspect of photography, IMHO, is relatively simple...making/creating a gorgeous image,
from my point of view, is a total crapshoot.

This particular image is my attempt at something like "matte painting"...a combination of about
eight different images merged into something that I visualized and thought it was adequate.

Some will say that my goal should be to please myself...that's true but, I depend on that peer
recognition for guidance and ego gratification. For that, I thank you all.

I think that I am further along than you in that case William. Oh, it's still a total crapshoot. I've just stopped worrying about it.

This is just superbly delicate. I love it.

Excellent work, William! Really good for the soul this one. Peace and tranquility -- is that a goal one always try to achieve from time to time? I know I do...

I’m going to have to throw down with the majority Chaunce!

    This shot rocks man.

As for the crapshoot? Well, you can please all of the people none of the time so probably not worth losing any sleep over!

    Hi Chauncey,

Just to add to the accolades... I love the scene, simplicity and beautiful muted colours.

    Gorgeous image, beautifully artistic!
