Helpful Posts: Hey to everyone. I've followed this site for a bit and can say that I really like the folks here. I used to be a photographer in the Air Force back from about 1983 until 1989. Then I finished college and became a helicopter pilot...go figure! I kind of lost touch with the profession but now, I'm wanting to get back into it. Wow! things sure have changed. I learned to shoot on a Pentax K-1000. Now, there's so mush electronics, it's almost overwhelming. But not quite. I decided to start slow. I got a Nikon D-5300 with a 18-55mm and 55-300mm kit lens. Also, a 50mm 1.8 prime. So, now I'm in the process of relearning the pleasure of photography. I hope I won't bore, or perhaps anger, any of you with my constant questions or stupid suggestions....just call me Mike. Also, how do I make a signature?

Hello, Mike! Welcome to a wonderful "house". I am pretty sure you will love people here. Don't worry about launching questions, as people are always wanting to provide assistance. You have a very good set for a start (actually a restart). Wondering to see some images from you soon!
With regards to the signature, once you log in, go to the "settings" menu. There you will find the option "Edit Signature", under the "my profile" subgroup. Please check the image below:

Welcome Mike...there are no too many questions here...(+1 to Otavio's response to you...) I am one of those who ask too many questions too if I may say so. Don't be shy and just jump in on any conversation and posts here and make friends. We are very casual around here. Just as you want feedback from your work, others do too...besides looking at posts and images is one way to get yourself back into the groove especially the comments of members about an images.
