    A Flower

This was the first flower of the year and was sitting in front of an azalea bush. I was looking for color and composition so would like to hear what everyone thinks of the final picture.

Very nice, Denny...the contrast between the yellow and the pink (Fuschia??) is very strong. I like that the stems are framing the yellow flower here.. You can tone down the white bits on the tip of the petals if you want...others may want to suggest a different crop..or something...

I like the composition, with the contrast between the sharp, yellow Daffodil and the unsharp pink flowers behind.

If the daffodil was the first flower, were the pink ones the second?

The background flowers are too intense and overpower the delicate daffodil. Would a crop to something like 4 x 5 ratio reduce the background a little?

Interesting and quite valid comment, and could be easily dealt with in PP. Yet, for whatever reason, I like the background red/fuscia. For instance if I mentally try to take those out, I find it a less interesting portrait of a daffodil.

I appreciate the comments, Thank You all.
I did it with and without the two azaleas on the left side and with the color dialed down a bit, decided I liked it better with all of them.
The azaleas are pretty ragged so they had to be just color........
