Thanks for comments and critique. Unfortunately I had very limited access to the scene, I was leaning over a rail to get this angle, mooring lines like utility lines sometimes difficult to edit out of the scene.

That's crazy looking. I'd normally agree with the prior comment regarding the complexity. In this case it works to some degree. One gets a sense of chaos, desolation, and abandonment. Interesting.

I agree that there is allot going on in the frame, but a nice exposure and a very interesting capture.

Looking around that scene, I'm not sure how you could really simplify the shot and still get it all in, maybe a horizontal shot but I suspect you'd get even more ropes and rails. I probably would of decreased the dof to blur the cars out of focus but that's just me. For some reason I find seeing cars in "antique" photographs most interesting, but never the new cars. I like it regardless of the busyness.

I think it is interesting to look at the aspect of each chaos here. No I wouldn't really call it chaos but busy-ness is what I mean. Not commenting on sharpness because it is nor the saturation. I like it overall. Must be interesting to go out when everyone else wanted to stay in and keep warm...

the sun then the conning tower and tree to the right dominate this shot for me. it was only after I read the comments that I really noticed the lines. I appreciate the movement from the simplicity of the sky to the complexity of the foreground.

This one works very well for me, John.

While I agree with the others that the scene is busy, so what. It works and works well.

What caught my eye is the "day to night" look. The sun says mid-afternoon to me, but the image has a night time look to it.
