    Canon Lens Mount Conversion

Recently I purchased (99 C$ = £66) an EdMika mount to convert my FD TS35mm - a tilt shift lens that is not available in EOS fitting.
Whilst changing some of the mounts he provides (look on Ebay) takes some skill, the manual everything FD TS35 is very easy. One unscrews the mount with a tool supplied, keep a spring and small ball bearing found inside the mount and place them in the new one. The instructions suggest using tape to hold them in place during assembly, I used a touch of the thick grease on the mount (it rotates). The whole job took less than 5 minutes.

The new mount is made of an engineering polymer, with an etched surface to minimise reflections.

An interesting touch is that the new mount changes the rotation limits to 90º to 270º - so that the shift mechanism doesn't foul the prism.

So for just £66 I have a TS35 lens, infinity focus.
