    A Reward

Rainy and cloudy at 5 am but the weather on the computer said some clearing. So off I went in the vain hope of anything. I got about ten minutes of sun before it went behind a thick sheet of cloud. This sort of thing will fuel my decision to go out for probably the next year

I sprinted into the field but could not get far enough back for the full double before the sun vanished.

Hello Trevor. I really like this image! The little barn on the right makes the shot. It is so unusual and eye-catching. What sort of PP was involved? What did it look like SOOC?

What a wonderful image! I like that you weren't able to include the top of the fainter rainbow; sometimes leaving something to the imagination is best and, for me, this is one of those situations.

Well done, Trevor - I do not think I have seen both ends of the rainbow in a single image before.

Like a few of us said on that social media site ... it's okay!!!

I feel I should inform CiC members that my dearly beloved, who never says 'Wow' to any of my images (doesn't want me to get carried away), looked at this and said .... ' Wow'. Harrumph!

    Not that I'm jealous.

WOW and a disclaimer - I am in no way as far as I am aware related to Donald.

I looked at this thread in the hope of claiming a reward and I was given the reward of viewing a great capture.

Just excellent. It's a "wish I'd taken that" capture.

Great shot, Trevor. I can't remember the last time I saw a full rainbow, let alone a double. But as remarkable as that is, look at the gorgeous gold in the field. It was definitely worth the effort.

Here is the image , warts, spots, raindrops, tripod and all, SOOC. A little colour enhancement, a slight S curve and a lot of cleanup was what I did.

I cleaned the sensor this afternoon. My tolerance level for spots was finally exceeded.

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments

This is inspiring. Next weekend I will definitely leave the house in search of something, at sunrise.
    Thanks,

Maybe your best barn yet. Nicely done and a well deserved opportunity.
