    Learning Photoshop

    Greetings CiC forum,

I'm looking to finally learn how to use photoshop CC and I am wondering if anyone in the forum knows of a good source for this. I'm sure I could use YouTube but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a more effective method that won't break the proverbial bank.

    Thanks in advanced!

    Josh

    Hey Josh,

For free, Adobe has tutorials online on their website and YouTube has an
    extensive selection.

Not free, many well known tutorial producers are on line.
Search: Ps CC tutorials and you will be submerged with offers.

You can always go old school and get a book, cheapest source through your public library.

I am having good luck with the Adobe TV tutorials

For another free source with a complete range of tutorials, there's this: https://www.udemy.com/awesome-photoshop-lightroom-tips/ It's geared towards both Photoshop and Lightroom.

And this one gives a link to several good sources: http://petapixel.com/2014/07/03/best...ses-tutorials/

    Re: Learning Photoshop

I use a combination of Scott Kelby's book, Photoshop CS6 for Photographers (which is a good training book), as well as Photoshop CS6 for Dummies (which is O.K. but, not a comprehensive book)..

I also make great use of YouTube, especially when seeking answers for specific problems.

I attend a monthly seminar in various aspects of Photoshop by John Watt of Watt's Digital Imaging in San Diego. The price for these excellent sessions is only five dollars. I spend more on gasoline getting to them. I have a PDF copy of John's book on Photoshop which is quite good...

Finally, I have a CD which I purchased through eBay which is SimonSezIT.com video training for Photoshop CS6.

I am light-years better than I was when I started photo editing but, I still enjoy the aid of NIK and Perfect Photo Suite in my photo editing...

Regarding public library books; mine has a great manual on Photoshop 7 but nothing newer
