    Little Sparrow

I got this photo a couple of weeks ago at a local apple orchard. It was late afternoon and I stopped by because they have some beautiful flowers and farm animals there too. The afternoon light was just hitting the bird nicely. You have to be fast to capture them, I had so many missed shots.

    C and C welcome.

    Hi Kodiak,
    I used a Canon Rebel T3 with a canon 55-250mm lens @250mm
    The camera settings were f8, ss-125, iso-400

I used Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop Elements for pp.

Hi Ali , super image indeed , the bird is in full focus and looks lovely and cute I would clone the piece of tree trunk at the bottom right corner.

Ali...very good shot! In this one, it looks a big sparrow not a small birdie...

    Hi Ali,

Just to add to the accolades! The detail you captured is amazing, even in its wee webbed feet! Great shot!

Oops... Not really, just typical bird feet in gorgeous colour... Must have had duck feet on my mind.

Very nice. I know how hard it is to get this little guys to stay stationary...I figure you have 3 seconds to get the shot

I always look for the catchlights in the eyes, these are perfect!

    Monte,
Thanks for viewing and commenting. Yes, they are very difficult to photograph. As soon as you focus, they fly off before you can press the shutter. I had many misses before I got this one.

    Re: Little Sparrow

That photo has really sharp AND in focus detail. Really nice quality. Birds can indeed be hard to catch before they twitch again. Have you ever tried chickadees? These birds are extra active.
