Thread: Skull (but not a squirrel's)

    Skull (but not a squirrel's)

I really can't allow Steve (Wirefox) to get away with doing all the creepy/freaky stuff...

These were shot some time ago, but I've been reworking several of them. Same sheep skull, just different poses. 'Vanity of the dead' was shot on black acrylic plastic sheeting, which gives an excellent reflection (better than a mirror) You can get it on ebay here Black perspex You need at least 5mm thickness, and quite a large piece, say A3 size, to get the camera angles in.

C&C welcome, but please, show some respect for the dead.

Favourite is #3. How did you get the black background brown? Also, and this is not really a problem, but I see some horizontal lines about 1/3 down on the left. I didn't notice them until looking at the 100% view, just wondering what they are?

I like #2 also, but wonder what it would look like zoomed out a bit to include more of the post and a few barbs on either side.

Not crazy about #1, it just does not look like anything recognizable to me.

Rob I hope you remembered to reattach the skull to your bull bars

The lighting on these shots cannot be faulted. I think I like vanity of the dead best but I think a black background would have really made this a winner. Perhaps the skull turned into he camera by 40 degrees?

You silly boy! He's dead, he can't move. But I see your point.

That never stopped Gordon Brown....although that would be 40 degrees and an extra 50 degrees in death duties
