I let this vote run for a full week as, in the closing stages, every single vote was changing the order of things and determining who stayed in the top 3 and who didn't. The ever increasing quality of the images clearly makes voting a challenge, never mind making a good picture. There were 7 or 8 entries all vying for the top spots all the way through voting.

Congratulations to the winners (and Honorable mention entries), all of whom have entered fine images. Lots of inspiration here. Also nice to see the honorable mentions in no particular order as this information rounds out the results well. It's good for those who were close to the top three and useful for all of us whether mentioned or not. Thanks, also, to Donald for running the monthly competition.

Congratulations to all... and yes, thank you to Donald for running the monthly competitions.
I always find it excruciatingly difficult to choose just one image.
Aside... Donald I wonder if holding a separate monthly competition for B&W would be a good idea. Likely a lot of added work but I mention it because I so wanted to vote for your B&W image but I suspect that I am always swayed by the beauty of the colour images and I think the brilliance of a B&W photo is very different than the beauty of a colour photo.
