Very cool! I've spent a lot of time in Slidell at NASA classes, but they didn't have the pelicans back in the "olden days".
These are similar to the cows that decorated Chicago back in 1991 and the angels all over Los Angeles about the same time. Last year, on a different theme, we had pianos decorating Los Angeles in honor of the 15th anniversary of the conductor of the LA Chamber Orchestra coming to town.

We had Geckos in Honolulu for a couple of years
These events are a great way to support a good cause and encourage an appreciate for the arts.
