Superb lighting with catchlight in baby's eyes, great story telling image. As sharp as you can get it-well done.Cropping off the bottom may result in more impact but you lose the hand.......which I'm sure you left for a reason.
Congratulations! Beautiful image aptly titled...
Not only self-explanatory, it's also very nice.
The skin tones on my calibrated monitor are a bit yellow and look much nicer when adding a hint of blue to the entire image. I also agree that cropping below the woman's hand on the right would draw more attention to the three people, especially the baby.
Lovely shot of maternal (or grand-maternal) love...
It's not just the baby that is yellow, Andre. The adults are also yellow.
It is a very warm portrait setting: good internal communications and use of low key.
However, my opinion is that the image does not nearly realize its full potential: I agree with Mike Buckley.
There is a yellow cast on the entire image which is intrusive and deleterious to the overall impact and warmth of the image. Such a cast is more usually noticed and more intrusive in a low key Portrait - especially where 'baby skin' is present.
The cast is corrected with an 82 Filter at about 10% and in a resultant A/B comparison, the difference is quite visually noticeable and also noticeably enhancing to the image.
There is also very slight Cyan Cast: but not really noticeable nor does it really effect the impact of the Portrait, at all.

Thank you Mike an Bill,
I printed the image and it printed without a yellow cast.
I am confused as I viewed the image on three different computers and I cannot see the yellow cast.
Will check it on my Asus LED screen just to make sure.
