    A Dutch Farm

Near the edge of my home town IJmuiden:

If your focus point is the farm...crop out most of the sky and the patch of trees on the right side.
    I'm thinking a 16x9 ratio.

But it is such a nice dark sky I would be reluctant to lose too much of it.

A bit more foreground may have helped. Possibly not available due to problems which we can't see though.

In which case, I might reduce the sky by about a quarter with a similar amount from the right.

A nice sharp and well balanced photo.

    Chauncey, Geoff, thanks for commenting!
For myself I still am not convinced that cropping this one is the solution. I think it would be the best to store this one in the archives and try to use another lens / standpoint etc.
Indeed something seems not right in this one, but I cannot specify it.

    Thanks again!

I think that you have to choose what the subject is. Is it the beautiful sky or the farm?

Rob, letting the image stew a bit is a sound idea. The best composition information I've ever
