This is a interesting photo; what were your intentions in making this photo?

    Morning Bruce,

i wanted to "decompose" the apple and take the photo as if it was falling down. i personally don't feel any movement in the photo, i tried to add a motion blur to it but the effect didn't come out as i wanted so i just drop the idea. I did like the shot anyway so i kept it for what it was, breakdown of a fruit.

    Hi Jimmy,

It works for me because we don't often see a round fruit elongated like this.
.. and we wonder how you achieved it

I can imagine that suggesting motion would be tricky - whih direction were you trying; vertical as the shot is, or along the line of elongation?

I think the former might work, but not sure.

    Cheers,

Hi Dave, thanks for the feedback and for showing interest. you know, they say magician dont reveal their tricks.

    Good thing i'm not one!

Here's the original, my wife was holding the skewer for me. i took it out and removed the reflection on the slices using Elements11

    Aaah, all is revealed

Yes, I kinda guessed, from the light angles, it was one capture.

    Thanks,

Nice concept, Jimmy. I wondered why you did not take out the reflection on the apple skin.
