I've been trying to get a decent photo of one of these for a while now there tough, I'm unsure if it's a swallow or a swift?

No idea I'm afraid Roger - and my books may give a different answer to US ones.
But I have to say that #1 is, considering how darn fast they fly, an excellent capture, the proximity of the ground is amazing.
