    From Birds To A Spider...

Yesterday my wife and I got out to the marsh at a nearby nature reserve for a walkabout. I captured these while there. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Summer now in Florida the birds are fewer and less active, it was a day of shooting portraits.

    Great Blue Heron

    Limpkin

The dragonflies were numerous and active...

And now the spider... things my nightmares are made of. This was hanging above the trail, we had to walk underneath it to pass by and take the photograph.

Good series, Joe. I really like the Limpkin the best of the birds. It seems more natural for some reason against it's background.

I'm not seeing the last (spider) image. It's that Tinypic problem that some other folks have been writing about over the past few days. we can only hope it (the problem) goes away soon.

Anyway, so far as the others are concerned. It doesn't seem to matter what size they are, what kind of wings they have (or indeed how many wings), you still nail them, Joe, and make wonderful pictures.

EDIT - Now I can see it. Looks vicious. But great image.

Thanks Terri, your comments are very much appreciated. I think maybe the Limpkin looks more natural because of the dead snag vs. the manmade post.

Thanks Donald I appreciate your comments. I seem to have a lens/camera combination that works together wonderful. I do not think I will ever separate them. I lack a little in reach but that is more than made up by sharpeness.

Fantastic shots there Joe. Yes, those little dragon flies are a pain to capture and you have done a wonderful job. The heron ones are also superb. They are all very good with great detail. Well done and a great series and thanks for showing us.
