    Russian Time

Apologies for the blitz but I have not been able to post much recently. Dads not being well, touring sixth form colleges with my daughter and an insane amount of work has left little time for photography. So here is the last of my catch up posts.

And just in case you thought I had been dunking sensible biscuits in my daily cup of rosey lea.....

I like these, though I wonder if the depth of field maybe is a bit to shallow.
#2 reminds me of the famous paintings of Salvador Dalí.
I hope you are not to bussy to keep posting those shots.

The second shot is fantastic with that liquid technique...

    Very nice and appealing

JK, I love having DoF available to me (having used a point and pray for a number of years) so I do sometimes go over the top. This is borderline but it sits OK with my eye.

Antonio, Thankyou I just don't seem to be able to help myself. For every sensible grown up image i take there is always a gremlin in my head that says "I wonder what that would look like if......."

    Regards

    Steve

Very nice, I think the shallow dof works with this one. Both shots look great....

    Steve,

This first photo is very nice, the DOF looks fine to me. I am not a big fun of special effect pictures, but your 2nd one is indeed interesting. One thing I am not quite sure is: if the 2nd photo presents a liquid effect, should the two watches have the same flowing direction?

    "Point and pray"

I don't agree that compact cameras are that bad.

Nice photographs. I was thinking if it would be better if your lightbox had a black cloth beneth the clocks, instead of a black glossy surface.

Nice self-portrait too - is that the black singlet we're wearing today?

Black singlet. Those days are long gone. I prefer to keep the six pack hidden with a paternity smock these days
