    Weather Change......

I took these photos from the front of our house some time ago, but would like to show them here......

At that time all my photos were taken in JPEG format......

I like the picture by itself and the clouds look wonderful, but I think the sharpening or hdr is overdone.

    Beautiful textures and tones, Griddi.

Mike mentioned the sharpening. Notice the "halos" that appear around the trees in both images and on the top of the buildings in the second photo. There are also other places where the halos occur, though less noticeably. The presence of halos is a classic symptom of over sharpening that significantly detracts from the image.

    Hi Griddi,

Have you got the original (un-edited) jpg of the first shot?

I thought I would see if the clouds could be enhanced without the halos appearing.

    Cheers,

Mike & Mike......you are both so right about oversharpening, which was till recently a bad habit of mine, and I think I have some photos spoilt with it......

Thank you for looking and comments,

    Hi Dave,

as it is I do not have the original JPEG anymore, as I always delete them all, of course the photos are oversharped, which I already admitted WAS a bad habit of mine, but for the last 3 months or so, I don't do this anymore......

Since I now shoot in RAW I at least keep the RAW files, in a special folder, which I have labelled " Keepers " but still these are only files of which I think they are worth keeping, all the others are still get deleted.......

    Greetings,
    Griddi.......
