Very nice image. I'll leave the exact age of this bird to someone whom knows more while a juvinille he is likely older than one might think, I can say that it can take 8 yrs to go fully white.

Exceptional detail. Wow! An eagle lives to be 30 in the wild (give or take) and they should have white head and tail by age 5 years.....(again, give or take)

Just to clarify, I use the Nikon 400mm 2.8VR. A prime non-zooming lens.
