    Very nice shot btw, that almost trusting look on her face is priceless.

    Very nice image. I like the lay of the land and the composition.

    I assume the buck rub is the large tree on the left. If I'm right, what characteristic indicates that it is a buck rub? As you can probably tell, I had to look up "buck rub" to even know what it is.

    A buck rub is a tree that a buck has rubbed his antlers on. The small tree behind the doe, you can see where a buck has rubbed the bark off the tree. They do this during the mating season. It will become a visual sign post and an olfactory one as well . (they leave scent from their forehead gland on the tree.)

    Like Mike, I really like the composition of this. The forest floor really adds something to this. The light on her that separates her from the darker background... it all adds up to a great photograph.
