Reduced to tears from a photo

Have you ever looked at a photo and have a wave of emotion wash over you? Today whilst on my regular adventure to the park with my daughter and grand daughter ... and trusty camera I had that experience.

C&C welcome and technique tips gratefully accepted as always

    1. The one that made me cry. I think it is the suggestion of absolute trust and innocence that this picture depicted. Thoughts?

All wonderful captures, Soozie. The first one does depict a precious moment.

    Thanks Serge.

My eldest daughter could not see it. Its just hands she said! Oh well, I suppose interpretation is a matter of opinion.

    Yep, that hits the mark.

A hugely powerful narrative and, for me and hopefully others, the great point of learning is that you can tell the story just as well and, in this case, more powerfully, by getting in close. We don't need to see any more of either the child or, particularly, mum. The whole story is within this frame.

    Excellent story-telling in pictures.

    Hi Soozie!

Very nice set and a beautiful set of kids as well.

Have you considered maybe using a bit of fill flash when you are shooting your outdoor candids? Might be something fun to try on your regular park adventures just to see if you like it. Though there is not a bad one in the bunch, #2 blows sunshine for me. And as usual Donald's advice in right on the $$.

Yes. This happens all the time to me with my photos. The only minor difference is that mine are so horrifyingly bad that that is what brings the tears to my eyes!

Its hard to chimp with your eyes glazed over!
