    Tutorial on Sharpening in LR4

This is fantastic! Well maybe for some it isn't, but I learned something new from this tutorial about LR4 and sharpening my images. I have tried it out and used it on the cars that I have posted. I have photo's of a goose and some nutria that I am going to try it on next.

    Sorry to have been inactive.
I haven't had much time lately, but I do plan to contribute and/or extract knowledge in the future.

It is interesting as some of my previous reads on sharpening is to not touch the radius or details. And if you do, not by much. He gave a very good example of using these. Also, what was interesting was how you can reduce noise without touching the noise settings! cool.

I really liked the fact that you could hold down the "Alt" key while moving the sliders and being able to see just what it was you are sharpening.
Also he, IMO, did the best job of explaining sharpening for LR4.

Yes, that is a good tutorial. Although I've know what sharpening does for some time, his explanation of what sharpening does is easily the best I've seen.

I usually go a bit heavier on the Masking slider with clouds and distance skies (for example). In fact for the sky in the mountain goat example, I would black the entire sky right out.

My personal thanks to Carl for posting this.

    Your Welcome,
If I find something that helps me I don't mind passing it along. I hope others will find this tutorial as useful as I did.
