    Hi Jaime,

I wonder if you considered about a more panoramic rop, losing the brightest bloom top right and shifting the 'horizon' of snake and backrgound nearer the top third of frame?

    A good capture,

Hi Jaime, as Dave wrote... good capture. Love the flicking tongue. I wonder how prevalent rattlesnakes are in Montana? I am still looking for my first rattlesnake in Florida, but then maybe I do not want to encounter one

You have to know where to look for them here in Montana - you can go a long time without seeing them unless you are in the right place. We've grown fond of them - they seem to be pretty predictable - we wear protective gear and are very respectful of them.

Nice shot. I think I'd be using the super-zoom on that shot too!

4000 is a mega-high shutter speed. Did you have to do that to freeze the tongue?
