    Romance at the park

    Hello all,

I asked my friend Trisha to take this photo of me and fiance with my camera, so the credit goes to her. This was taken at a park in Niagra. Any comments or critiques are welcome

    Thanks!
    Kristin

Nice composition, obviously the foreground and the two of you could do with perhaps a little lightening.

One nit pick - if your friend was perhaps 2-3 metres closer, then there would be a little less empty space to the right and your heads wouldn't be brushing the horizon

Not really sure, Kristin. But I think I would leave the foreground colour/brightness as it is. Better to have it dark than a muddy brown. But I would crop it very slightly to reduce the impact. There is space to lose a similar amount from the right side; as Phil mentioned.

Also relating to the foreground. There is a white speck, roughly between the tree and seat and half way down the dark area. I would clone this out.

Maybe the horizon could be placed slightly differently; but I'm not over concerned about it.
