The prairie is in full stride now and I took a few shots today; mosquitos are gone and both temperatures and humidity are down. Suffice it to say Randy is a happy camper!!

First it is only proper to show the scene:



A new grass has come into the scene, Indian grass



Asters are now flowering, don't even ask names, there are many



Goldenrod are attracting many beetles

Very nice colors, Randy. The framing is a bit tight on some shots. You could use some extra empty space to balance the composition on #2 and 4 if you like. Camping... one of my favorites when I can!

I cropped to remove distracting items, not an uncommon occurence in the prairie. Not actually camping, just a turn of a phrase. This area is only about 3 miles from my home.

There are likely in excess of 10 species of asters at this site
