Does the composition work? What do you think about the post crop vignetting? Do you think it is good enough to put in my portfolio? All comments and critique welcomed.

If it were mine, I would, Joe. No blown highlights dispite the concentration of white, great contrast, sharp image, and the vignett works well. Well done in my eyes.

Excellent work. Sharp eye, legs and feet. Feathers are crisp. Just out of curiosity, why is bird not reflecting like the log on which it's perched?

Very nicely done Joe. I like it quite a bit and would be happy to have shot it.

Excellent shot and processing. White can be really difficult to get right and you have.

Thanks Bud for viewing and commenting. Regarding the bird not reflecting...I don't know. I went back to the SOOC (posted below) and looked. Only the log reflected. Maybe because the sun was behind the bird.

Thanks Bobo. You sure are correct on white being difficult. Good experience shooting white in Florida...many white birds and strong light most of the year.

    Hi Joe,

To answer the original question; yes.

About the 'missing' reflection; it will be below the bird, between us and the log - all of which isn't in the shot.

    Cheers,
