    High Flyer

Out for a dirve on Sunday and came across a group of dirt biker on a local farm just north of Welcome. The owner who rides has set up a 6 to 8 acre area dirt bike course with lots of jumps some very good spots to shoot the riders in mid air. Will have to return, to work on F-stop and shutter times as I usually shoot landscapes and these riders move a litter faster.

    Cheers:

The image was shot at f11, shutter 1/800 sec, ISO 320, used a 70-300mm at 125mm=187mm at 35mm. Opened as a smart object, then one layer processed for the sky, then a mask added to remove the rider, copy by wasy of a smart layer, opened and the mask inverted so the rider could be processed, then put back together.

And just for the fun of shooting that sort of stuff.

You are right, Allan - we can always develop and improve, but that's a pretty impressive outcome from the first time at trying such a shoot.

EDIT - The Exif data is stripped out. What is the shooting info?

If it wasn't for the fact that he is looking down it would look like he is just going to continue climbing!

Great capture. He looks like he is a thousand feet up!
