Just a couple of hopeful wee shots from my garden.

Sorry Jeff...no idea what you mean. :/

    Ok..have googled it...

These were just meant to be a couple of handheld happy shots with my 60mm, nothing technical just Spring!!

You likely have a greater depth for these particular images than a focus rail can accommodate but with the camera on a tripod, you could gently change the focus ring between shots if a focus stacking image is what you are after. But then you will still need some software to combine the stack of focused images into a single high DoF result.

Of course it is! I was just responding to the focus rail comment.

By the way, your images are lovely just the way they are, no need to change a thing!

    Hi,
I really like the first photograph! The structure of those leafs is just thrilling to see
I would maybe consider some branch blur jus some minor to leave the interest on the leaves.. but thats just me.
    Thanks for sharing, enjoy spring!

I have to say that I've always thought of the whole macro/focus stacking rail as waaayyyy too much effort for me. I'm personally more of an 'in the moment' kinda photographer. I'll leave the extreme post processing to Frank and Ryo

Nice photos by way Sharon - beautiful bokeh which contrasts nicely against the colour of the leaves.

It's not something that everybody likes but as I'm into bright colous and razor sharp images I use it a fair bit. Here are a couple of examples. If you decide you like that look, I'd be more than happy to assist, but like I said, there's nothing wrong with the images you posted.

Of course ! I was just trying to be helpful ! Its very easy to focus stack if you have PS, and a focus rail is one way to get all of the flower in focus, but still have a great background blur. They are not expensive. I'll see if I can dig out some examples, & post one.

    Thanks guys.

I think I am with Mal on this...my Kenco extension tubes tend to stay in the bag and mood rather than precision are more my thing

Loving the 'Bazzinga'! (What a funny show that is - the new series starts here, in the UK, on Thursday.)

    Re: Bazzinga!

No fair! Over here in "New Scotland", we are just seeing the tail end of a winter storm. Lots of wind and enough snow to make it miserable for driving. Send some of that "bazzinga!" across the water if you can, please Those are beautiful signs of spring. I like the first for all its different areas of depth.

(Only fair to say we broke records last week with highs in the province ranging from 20-27C!)
