    Old Barns . . . part 1

Had a little time today after Church for a drive and although it was windy I decided to snap a few photos of some old barns along side of the road. Advice and comments are always welcome.

The texture you can get out of the timbers on the barn in the B & W is is wonderful. The one thing I'd wonder about is darkening up the sky. So you use pp software that has built-in filters? A yellow filter would darken up the sky. A red one would have an even greater impact.

    Donald,
Thanks for the input, the black and white photo was my favorite also. I use lightroom 3.6 and I tried to darken up the sky (because I agree I think it would present a more dramatic look) but did not have a lot of success, I will have to keep working with it. Thanks again for your advice.

Yes, I agree with Donald's filtering suggestion (Who doesn't?):
It would be good to make the sky darker than the roof of the barn.
