    Storm clouds at sunset

Took these from the top storey of our house in town ths afternoon. They are through glass because the windows do not open in a way that you can poke a camera out satisfactorily. They are also handheld. I took them in NEF and did very little adjustment other than to bring up the shadows a bit, because I thought they were dramatic enough as it was.
Any suggestions as to how to make them better re the silhouetted buildings, whether to light them up a bit, crop more out whatever ,or any other C&C would be welcome as obviously I am very much a novice at this.

    Thanks

    Carolyn

I think the only thing I would change, Carolyn, is to reduce the area of black at the bottom.

And if you want to retain the same image ratio I think you could get away with slightly cropping the sides to suit.

Thanks Geoff- yes I thought it had completely blacked it out at the bottom so that there was not even a trace of detail of the houses , and wondered if it was too much.

I think it feels more threatenling like this. Even though the clear sky behind says 'everything must pass'.

Yes, that crop looks good to me.
