Badlands - at the edge of the season change

What a wonderful day. Out at a favourite spot of mine, and surely many in the Toronto, southern Ontario area - the Badlands.

I've been there in the snow, in the summer sun, but I thoroughly enjoyed today. Getting my fingers close to frozen, a wife sitting in the car (ever so happy I was taking so long ), mud up to my yoohaa. I even had to drive the car, holding my boots outside the door until I got onto hard pavement just so I could beat off the incredibly sticky mud - red mud, just so it is easily seen wherever it comes into contact.
I had a great time, so stoked. And the results - below.
CnC welcome as always (not going back for a while).

It is an incredibly beautiful place to visit.

I remember asking you about it and did sneak a peek at it on the way to Niagara a while back. But had no time to stop and shoot. Did promise myself that one day this winter to get down there before the summer crowds start messing around.

Now this red mud thing is sort of putting me off that thought.

On the other hand could grab a cheap pair of water boots and just discard them in the garbage when leaving?

    BTW - very nice shots.

Donald, fascinating it is, and I'm sure others would find some crazy artsy images in it.

Bobo, I'm sure that a little mud isn't enough to put you off getting some great images. Why not go barefoot and get a real intimate experience
