    Grist Mill Stone Mountain, Georgia

Grist Mill at Stone Mountain, Georgia. There was no post-processing done on the water wheel. When I was done with the HDR process, it showed the movement just from the photos I captured.Grist Mill Stone Mountain, Georgia

Lovely scene. Looks very paintoral. I'd be inclined to try to crop a little bit off the left, perhaps close to the tall tree there. This would move the mill to the left and off-centre. Still a lovely picture!

I happen to like contrasty/colorful images, this one fits that description. The lighting is good and I like seeing the wheel in motion.

I agree with Marty that some cropping may help the image - some from the left and a little from the bottom.

The motion in the wheel and the flowing water really bring the scene to life in an amazing way. I agree that some cropping might help. For me its the upper left corner that is a little distracting. My eyes keep getting stuck up there. Maybe some vignette might help keep the attention on the mill as well.

I agree with what has been said about the crop. But other than that, I think it's calendar material. Just a lovely scene and nicely processed.

    Hi, Don

I played around with crops trying to minimize the left upper corner, but didnt like the dimensions and placement of the mill that it was left with. I'd leave it alone- really nice image and nicely executed HDR
